General list of documents required for export customs clearance of personal items:

  1. Notarized power of attorney + 2 notarized copies This document is required only for car or sea transportationWhen making air shipments, the sender's presence at customs is required
  2. Copies of passport, Russian visa, Moscow / Ministry of Registration, work permits, stamped by the employer
  3. A letter from the employer company to the Russian customs (the text will be provided)
  4. The list of books to be sent (the list should contain the title of the book, the name of the author, the name of the publisher, the year of publication)
  5. A copy of the ticket
  6. The original of the temporary importation obligation

General list of documents required for export customs clearance of a vehicle:

  1. Notarized power of attorney + 2 notarized copies (text will be provided)
  2. A letter from the employer company to the Russian customs (the text will be provided)
  3. Copies of passport, Russian visa, Moscow / Ministry of Registration, work permits, stamped by the employer
  4. Original vehicle registration certificate
  5. A copy of the PTC before the vehicle was removed from the register, stamped by the employer
  6. The original certificate of temporary importation

Please note that the vehicle must be de-registered in order to be shipped abroad, not for sale.

Customs clearance of cultural items and items of cultural value:

If the cargo contains paintings, musical instruments (pianos, plucked instruments), sculptures, objects of decorative and applied art, samovars, handmade carpets, collections, objects of religious worship, etc. or objects older than 50 years, for their export it is necessary to obtain permits of the established standard from the Ministry of Culture.

Items older than 100 years (except books) are generally prohibited from being exported from Russia. The exception applies only to items that were registered when imported to Russia.

List of items that are prohibited from being carried in unaccompanied baggage:

  1. Alcoholic beverages
  2. Medications or toiletries (perfumes, colognes, aerosols, etc.
  3. Food, cigarettes
  4. Dry ice
  5. Matches, lighters
  6. Explosives, pyrotechnic substances and products
  7. Mercury barometers and thermometers - only for air cargo
  8. Batteries and accumulators - only for air cargo
  9. Magnetized materials and items containing them are for air cargo only
  10. Bolons with compressed and liquefied gas
  11. Flammable, corrosive household liquids, bleaching powders, etc.
  12. Infectious and toxic substances
  13. Radioactive materials or objects containing them
  14. Internal combustion engines
  15. Objects made of precious metals and stones
  16. Money
  17. Pornographic content products

General list of documents required to extend the Obligation to re-export:

  1. A power of attorney executed on the letterhead of the employing company and signed by the CEO or a notarized power of attorney (the text will be provided)
  2. A letter addressed to the customs office, executed on the letterhead of the employing company and signed by an authorized person
  3. A copy of the new visa, stamped by the employer
  4. Obligation to re-export (original)
